Anime: One Piece - Shichibukai

The world Government came into existence 800 years ago. It was during the void century, and it's still unknown to this day what happened during that void century and how the world government came to exist. The world government forbid anyone from trying to learn the full history and it's considered a crime for anyone to try to obtain any knowledge regarding that void century.

Crocodile is one of the original seven members of the Shikibukai and he was the first one to be stripped off the title as well. He used his position as a Shichibukai and tried to make a revolution at Alabasta country so that he can take over the island and achieve another goal which is to learn about the ancient weapons and be able to possess it. His plans was thwarted by Monkey D. Luffy and his crew. Once he was brought down, the world government stripped him off his title and jailed him in Impel Down.

Marshall D. Teach and also known as Blackbeard. He was originally part of Whitebeard pirate crew. He only joined the Whitebeard pirates because this is his best chance to come across the devil fruit he wanted the most, The Yami Yami devil fruit. He even killed one of Whitebeard crew member in order to take that devil fruit and then he left the crew. Then he started executing his plan and the first step of his plan was to become a Shichibukai to use the world government. At first he planned to bring down Monkey D. Luffy so that he will be accepted as a replacement of Crocodile but then he got in a fight against Portgas D. Ace at which he won and used Ace as his card to become a Shichibukai. 

After he became a Shichibukai he went into his second step of using his position as a Shichibukai to invade Impel Down and get a lot of the dangerous criminals out of Impel Down and he recruited in his Pirate Crew. Finally he came to the war against Whitebeard and along with his entire crew they killed the already heavily damaged Whitebeard. At this point Blackbeard demonstrated to the world government what he is capable of after stealing the devil fruit of Whitebeard and becoming the first one to obtain the power of two different devil fruits at the same time. Once he accomplished his goals he resigned from his position as he does not need it anymore.

Buggy the clown was part of the Pirate King's crew along with Shanks. Once the crew was disbanded, he made his own pirate crew and is known as Buggy the clown. He possess the power of the Bara Bara devil fruit that he ate unintentionally. In the past he lost to Monkey D. Luffy but when he was imprisoned at Impel Down he managed to flee with the help of Monkey D. Luffy. After the escape, he was forced to take part of the war happened between the world government and the Whitebeard pirates. The world government came to know that he once was part of Roger's crew and that he used to be close to Shanks who is currently one of the four kings. After the war, the world government sent him an invitation to join the Shichibukai. He remained part of the Shichibukai until the world government decided to abolish the entire Shichibukai system.

Mihawk is the known as the world's greatest swordman and also known as Hawak eyes. He is the one Roronoa Zoro is aspiring to bring down one day so that he take this position from him. It's not known how he became part of the Shichibukai system or what are his motives for accepting this position. Mihawk is the only member of the Shichibukail beside Boa Hancock who is part of the original members of the Shichibukai and held the position until the time the world government decided to abolish the entire system.

It's unknown how Bartholomew Kuma came to join the Shichibukai pirates. He is originally one of the officers of the revolutionary army, even after joining the Shichibukai he continued his duty as part of the revolutionary army under the leadership of Monkey D. Dragon. He ended up being a Navi experiment and got much of his body modified by the world government's genius Vegapunk. At the end he became a slave at Marijos for the world noble to ride, however it's still unknown how he ended up like that and why he agreed to become an experiment for the world government.

Boa Hancock also known as pirate empress, joined the shichibukai system just to benefit from that title to protect her island Amazon lilly. The island of female worriers only where men are not allowed. Before she became part of the Shichibukai she was a slave at Marijos and that's why she hate the world government so much. Boa Hancock is the queen of the island and when Monkey D. Luffy came to the island with the power of Kuma, she was going to kill him at first but later on she fell in love with Monkey D. Luffy. Boa Hancock is one of the original members of the Shichibukai and held her position until the entire system got abolished.

Gecko Moria is part of the original members of the Shichibukai and he once fought against Kido one of the four kings. He is known for his ship Thriller Part which is actually a small island. After he was defeated by Monkey D. Luffy he took part in the war of the best against the Whitebeard pirates. Once the war ended he was attacked by Doflamingo with the help of the Pacifista (The human weapon developed by the world government) and he got killed by Doflamingo.

Edward Weevil claims to be the only son of Whitebeard, however this claim is yet to be verified. He is strong enough to become a Shichibukai. He always follow the orders given to him by his mother and he believe anything she say to him. He remained part of the Shichibukai until it was abolished by the world government.

Jinbe is also known as the first son of the sea. He used to be part of the sun pirate before he became the captain. He was invited to become one of the Shichibukai and he has accepted not for himself or that he wanted the position but he did that for his country and also for releasing Arlong who was captured by the Navi at the time. Jinbe joined the Shichibukai however, he remained loyal to Whitebeard as he had a lot of respect for Whitebeard because it was thanks to him, the Fishmen Island was safe. When the world government decided to bring all the Shichibukai to fight a war against Whitebeard, Jinbe refused and was jailed because of that. When he was freed from the jail thanks to ​Monkey D. Luffy, he tagged alongside ​Monkey D. Luffy and participated in the war but on the Whitebeard side, not the world government.

Trafalgar Law full name is Tragalgar D. Water Law. He hid the "D" and kept it a secret from Doflamingo. When he was a child he was part of Doflamingo pirate crew. He was sick and waiting for his death but Doflamingo's brother Corazon helped Law and he was the one who told him about the devil fruit that will save him. Once he got the ope ope devil fruit he left Doflamingo's crew and later he started his own pirate crew. Law is part of the worst generation and after the war between the world government and the Whitebeard pirates he came to the Navi and gave them the hearts of a 100 pirate. This was his ticket to join the Shichibukai. He was stripped off this title when he allied forced with the Strawhats in order to bring down Doflamingo and to fight against Kaido.

Doflamingo is a celestial dragon who came down from Marijos because his father decided to live a humble life. He hates his father for this and eventually he ended up killing his father. It's unknown how he became part of the Shichibukai but once he attained that position he came back to Dressrosa. The country that was under Donquixote family before they left the country to live in Marijos. He plotted to take over the country and he did for about ten years he was the King of Dressrosa but also in the underworld he was known as the joker. He was blackmailed to resign from the Shichibukai. At that time he abused his power and connections with the world government to spread the fake news that he resigned but eventually he was defeated by Monkey D. Luffy and he was stripped of his position.
